Big Capacity with Short Process Times
The Top-Loading 150L sterilizer is a remarkably fast high-volume unit. It can be configured to rely on either a house steam supply, in-chamber steam generation, or dual operation. Universities, large labs, and active life science and biomedical facilities find this roomy 150L top-loading sterilizer indispensable.
Top-loading steam autoclaves are the standard for lab work in Europe, and the #1 top-sellers for Priorclave UK worldwide. In fact, Priorclave recently fulfilled one of the largest autoclave orders in history for these sterilizers. These are among the most space- and energy-efficient models available today. Top-loaders are preferred for life-science research, as they easily accommodate the tallest flasks, fermentors, and bioreactors—at one-third the price of a comparable front-loading autoclave. They’re also excellent for waste processing, especially in large batches.
All Priorclave top-loading autoclaves are bench-height (regardless of capacity) and mounted on casters for easy installation and maintenance. Paired with the Loadlite integrated electrically operated hoist, any load can be pulled or placed almost effortlessly. Priorclave can even furnish custom baskets and tailor-made collars for hoisting fermentors and other specialized glassware.

Priorclave top-loading autoclaves are built in the UK for years of trouble-free operation, even in the most adverse conditions. Their modular design is completely upgradable to meet your evolving needs. Each unit is designed for safe operation under all conditions, and fitted with the industry-favored Tactrol® 2 Control System. Priorclave autoclaves offer a 36-month limited parts and labor warranty, 20-year pressure vessel warranty, and unlimited technical support.
At Priorclave, the safety of your staff and students comes first. Our Quickseal 2 door, with Permission-based Door Release, is fitted with thermal and pressure locks to prevent opening at load temperatures above 80°C (176°F) and pressures above 0.2 Bar (2.9 psi) (as per BS 2646). The door is also fitted with a Redundant Safety Gate, so that any residual pressure can safely escape before the door can move freely (in accordance with the UK Health and Safety Executive’s note PM73). All units come with a Pressure Safety Valve set to 2.5 Bar (36.3 psi) and a 150°C (302°F) thermal cut out (per BS 6759); selected external panels and surfaces are thermally insulated.
Priorclave is the only manufacturer offering the same fully featured programmable control system on every model, from the smallest laboratory benchtop sterilizer to the largest industrial pass-through unit. The Tactrol 2 system puts every operating parameter within your control, with no re-training required as you move from one unit to another. Using our Tactrol 2 Control System, operators can limit user access to specific pre-programmed, validated cycles, via fail-safe one-button start or key switch activation. Program modifications are likewise key switch or password protected.
All Priorclave autoclaves comply with current US, Canada, UK, and EU safety regulations. They are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2008 quality management system in our UKAS-accredited facility. Our autoclaves and control systems are ETL listed and EMC certified, and feature ASME-stamped pressure vessels. These pressure vessels are manufactured entirely in-house, and tested to 1.5 times their maximum working pressure. They have full insurance approval for pressure vessel design and construction and are CE Marked under the Pressure Equipment Directive PD5500:2000 Cat 3, Certificate Number SS42059010-2 Rev 1. They also conform to the general requirements of BS 2646 and are CE Marked for BS EN61010-2-41, Low Voltage and Electromagnetic Compatibility.
